A brief explanation of the log-in procedure for the MELANI newsletter via the news portal of the Federal Administration (http://www.news.admin.ch/).
In the right-hand side column under the title "News subscription", you can register for the MELANI newsletter. To this end, you have to insert your e-mail address and then click on "Register".
Account is created
A new window opens up in news.admin.ch. You receive a notification that your account has been created.
(If you already have an account, you will be asked to enter your password. Having entered your password, you will go to a summary with a list of all your subscriptions.)
Switch to your e-mail program. You will receive an e-mail with a link and a password. You can activate the account you created by clicking on the link (you do not need to reply to this e-mail). After clicking this link your account is activated. Now you can continue to receive the MELANI newsletter!
Note: after clicking the confirmation link you will then be redirected to the login page of the news portal of the Federal Administration. If you do not wish to make any other changes you do not need to login here and you can close the browser.
Welcome to the News Service of the Federal Administration
You now have the option of logging in to your account at the news portal of the Federal Administration and making any changes.
Under "User data/User information", you can specify how frequently and in what language e-mails should be sent to you.
Under "Change password", you can enter a password that you find easy to memorise. You will need the password if you want to change your e-mail address or your subscriptions.
You will find a list of your subscriptions under "My subscriptions".
Use "Log out" to exit http://www.news.admin.ch/.
