GovCERT.ch was created by MELANI in order to allow even quicker incident response times, and has been operational since 1 April 2008.

GovCERT becomes member of FIRST

After an admission procedure lasting almost a year, GovCERT.ch was definitively admitted as a FIRST member in February 2010.

FIRST is the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams, a worldwide network of CERT teams from the government, commercial and academic sectors.

A further important milestone was reached by becoming a member of FIRST. In particular, MELANI/GovCERT.ch will have a significantly larger information pool at its disposal from now on.
